Lovely again today. Scattered storms tonight and Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of northern Montana.

The main threats with the storms are large hail and damaging wind.
The storm system formed in Chicago and swept across IL and in before hitting Ohio, Sites said.
Going into Friday night, the National Weather Service expected the potential for thunderstorms to continue, particularly on the strong side especially in the Brainerd lakes area. If the storm trends a little north, it could produce somewhat widespread severe weather up to I-94.
Showers and thunderstorms could pay a return visit at times on Thursday.
All of central IN is under a heightened risk for severe weather between Wednesday 7am and Thursday 7am.
If the low keeps to the south, the risk for severe weather decreases significantly, but heavy rain remains a strong possibility. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible.
“The Storm Prediction Center is concerned about a widespread damaging wind event occurring with this setup”.
The threat for storms will be greatest from after sunset through just after midnight.
Then if those clouds clear to give us sunshine, that increases the risk for severe weather, and tornadoes, Wednesday evening.

An inch of rain or more is likely over most of our region. Storms in the afternoon and evening will have all of that heat and instability to use.
