Nothing lasts forever and, sure enough, less than 24 hours after GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump seemed to make nice with Enrique Peña Nieto, Mexico’s president, the pair have already morphed from “friends” to frenemies.
But the wall will be a reality under a Trump administration, Republican candidate insisted on his return to Arizona, a border state where resentment against illegal immigration is high.
Of course, Twitter had something to say about his new merch, which surprisingly is not yet available at his webstore.
Pena Nieto has faced a barrage of criticism over his decision to hold talks with Trump, with many accusing him of weakness and humiliation. And Mexico will pay for the wall.
He seemed to have abandoned his calls to deport the 11 million immigrants who are living in the United States illegally, instead suggesting that he wants to be “fair but firm”.
Some of Donald Trump’s Hispanic advisory board are reportedly reconsidering their support Thursday, following the Republican nominee’s hardline speech on immigration policy in Phoenix, Arizona the previous night.
During his speech on Wednesday, Trump again resorted to incendiary language after days of flirtation with amnesty for undocumented immigrants in the country, proclaiming that there would not be amnesty for illegal immigrants under his presidency.

“I think it took tremendous leadership for him to go down to Mexico and meet with the president but when you saw the meeting the president of Mexico said it was a two-way street”, Eric Trump said. Pena Nieto meanwhile tweeted, “At the beginning of my conversation with Donald Trump, I made it clear that Mexico will not pay for the wall”. “It endorses and formalizes the person who has insulted us, spit on us and threatened us for more than a year before the entire world”, Inarritu wrote in an editorial published by Spanish daily El Pais.
Aguilar said he had expected Trump to take a more compassionate approach to people in the country illegally after recent signs that his position was softening as the November 8 election approaches.

Before the NRA’s endorsement, at its annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, some of the group’s members said they questioned whether Trump’s support for gun rights was genuine, and said they were concerned he might compromise on the issue if it proved politically expedient. What Trump managed to do in one day on Wednesday has left some political observers still scratching their heads.
