LSU 19, Texas A&M 7
LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva told reporters after Saturday’s game that Miles will indeed be back to coach the Tigers.

“I want to make it clear that Les Miles is our football coach and will continue to be our football coach”. The win moved the Tigers to 8-3.
Les is back, he has a bowl game to prepare for, a #1 ranked recruiting class to shepherd down the stretch and some issues with coaching contracts to resolve before spring football starts again.
“Obviously, there has been quite a bit of speculation these past few days about the future of our football coach and our football program”, Alleva said.
LSU Coach Les Miles is carried off the field after a game against Texas A&M.
Thanks largely to Fournette, LSU drove into field-goal range four times in the first half, but Domingue, who’d missed one field goal attempt all season coming in, missed two of four in the first half.
He has visited Baton Rouge, La. a handful of times since then, but based on conversations with members of his family, Chatman decided LSU was not in his best interest.
“The motor seems to be pretty stinking strong”, Miles said of Fournette.
Of course, Alleva, whose own job may be in jeopardy if he loses a power play with Miles, was careful not to promise too much about the coach’s job security.
“We found that he was around 108 yards away”, said Miles on Fournette breaking Alexander’s record.
LSU president King Alexander reportedly told Miles, “I want you to be our coach”.
It may not end with a National Championship or Heisman Trophy, but LSU’s Leonard Fournette will go down in the record books this season.
“He didn’t really vocalize it, but we knew he wanted to win it. This was his last team, his home team, and we just wanted to do it for him”.
The SEC is perceived as the toughest conference in the country, which explains why a coach carrying Miles’ clout could conceivably be on the hot seat.
When the Tigers finally produced a big play to take a 13-7 lead, it came on Guice’s long run.
Saturday also represents the first meeting between LSU and A&M since defensive coordinator John Chavis’ bitter departure to join Kevin Sumlin’s staff after last season.
