Florida had an opportunity to tie the game with seven minutes remaining as Harris initially nailed Calloway with what appeared to be a 35-yard touchdown pass, but Calloway was unable to hang on after a hit from an LSU defender.

Florida was able to get three more cracks at driving down the field to tie it up, though, including two big defensive stands against LSU in between each.
The player with the most to prove today could be Florida quarterback Treon Harris.
Fournette said he expected a few rough treatment from the Gators, who entered the game allowing only 99.2 yards rushing per game.

Meanwhile, the Gators will be off next week before a huge rivalry game with the Georgia Bulldogs in Jacksonville on Halloween.
It’s gotten the Tigers to 6-0, and it can take them a lot farther, too. If Florida scored, LSU still had plenty of time.
