LSU could fire Les Miles as early as Sunday

“No, that’s never an issue”, Miles said.

He’s also a good person (in spite of attempts to assassinate his character in the never-ending Jameis Wiston sex scandal) and clearly would have the full and unwavering support of the entire LSU fan-base. While there are already a few notable vacancies, such as SC and Southern California, more will occur – and with more vacancies comes a higher demand than supply of quality coaches.

A 6-foot-5, 220-pound pocket passer from Crawfordville, Fla., Franks made the announcement on his Twitter feed, saying: “For about a month now I have been talking with LSU about decommiting”. “But I don’t think it would be money, if he leaves, it would be wanting to go back to the SEC or the prestige of coaching in the SEC…”

Fisher has been the head coach at Florida State since 2010, succeeding the legendary Bobby Bowden after previously serving as Bowden’s offensive coordinator and being tabbed as the coach-in-waiting.

Those officials are athletic director Joe Alleva and LSU President F. King Alexander; they have not commented publicly on Miles’ status. “That’s really not what I’m going to do”.

“It has been a thrill for me to be here and watch what you’ve done for LSU”, Hawthorne told Miles.

Each of LSU’s past three losses were by double digits.

Miles, who is under contract through 2019, would be due a $15 million buyout if he is fired before January 1.

Miles said he met with his assistants Monday morning.

LSU is looking to put a halt to a three-game skid that sent the Tigers from national title contention to the middle of the pack in the SEC West. Texas A&M enters Saturday riding a two-game winning streak, after losing three of its previous four contests. That’s to say nothing of Fisher’s merits as the best candidate, something we will no doubt debate at a later date. “What have you done for me lately or how are you going to do it?”

Checking in on a situation that seems to get more awkward by the day. To say nothing of the potential staff changes, because again, who wants to come work for a head coach whose tenure is hanging by a thread?

“You have to get in the playoffs and that is where leaders of the university have to understand what they want and how they want it”, Fisher said.
