Tailback Darrel Williams added 61 yards on 10 carries with seven of the carries and 50 of the yards coming in the second half.

Novelty aside, Les Miles and the Tigers handled a struggling Gamecocks team by the score of 45-24, on their way to a 5-0 start (3-0 in SEC).

“We will do our due diligence and pursue that opportunity if it’s available”, said Segar, who said before the NCAA tweet that the school would try to auction the jersey on Fournette’s behalf.

Guice ripped off long runs of 39, 25 and 20 yards and had his first career touchdown on a 4-yard burst up the middle in the fourth quarter.

“It’s never about me, ” he said. LSU won 45-24, thanks in part to Leonard Fournette cracking 1,000 yards on the year. I would like to auction off my game jersey as is to the highest bidder to help out the relief efforts. The NCAA said on its verified Twitter account that he would be permitted to offer the jersey for charity. But there were still a few big missed opportunities for the Gamecocks, and the offense left points on the field. The two combined for 319 rushing yards on 36 carries and two touchdowns.

On the opening drive of his second start of the season, Orth threw the ball ten times, completing four passes.

Mid-way through the 2 quarter, LSU sophomore quarterback Brandon Harris connected with Malachi Dupre for a 10-yard touchdown on a perfectly executed fade pattern, making the score 14-3 with 7:41 to play before halftime.

“I could tell you they just reached out to the LSU fans and made us feel at home”.

Following the win, Fournette spoke to ESPN, offering his support to the flood victims in South Carolina. “It doesn’t make any difference how you cut it. It doesn’t matter what we wear”. We have been fortunate and blessed. “We are thankful and grateful for that”.

There was confusion over whether or not Fournette – or even LSU – would be violating NCAA rules by auctioning off the game-worn jersey.

Saturday’s game between the Tigers and the Gamecocks was originally scheduled to be played in Columbia, South Carolina. The move gave LSU fans not only a chance to witness an extra game in Tiger Stadium Saturday, but also treated those who chose to attend a chance to witness LSU history. I wanted to help out the families of people over there.
