There were too many questions about the embattled coach’s own program coming off a season-opening upset loss to Wisconsin. While he’s glad that Fournette is expected to return to the lineup, Miles is pleased with his stable of running backs and will continue to monitor his star tailback’s health.

Thomas Woodson completed 23 of 32 passes for 407 yards and six touchdowns. After two series, Coach Les Miles chose to sit Harris in favor of Etling.
As an SEC fan, I know that at times, the crowd and the intimidation that goes with it may be a little late to arrive given the brand of the opponent. “We’re going to come out here every weekend and we’re going to go hard”. Jenkins is easily on pace to eclipse the 10,000-yard mark in career total yards by the end of this season.

FACING FOURNETTE: It’s not clear how many carries Fournette will get. Harris has been given ample opportunities to be the starting quarterback at LSU, but has grossly failed to live up to marginal expectations. Derrius Guice was in the line and performed well in being their primary ballcarrier.
Miles has been the laughingstock of the college football world, particularly after saying at halftime of the Wisconsin game while trailing 6-0 with quarterback Brandon Harris 2-of-6 passing for 26 yards with an interception that LSU was “throwing the ball well”. The Gamecocks are 1-6 all-time vs. the SEC, with the lone win coming against MS in 2010.

Then he took up for right guard Josh Boutte despite an obvious flagrant personal foul penalty at the end of the game that got Boutte suspended for Saturday’s game.
