Lucas Duda: (Back) Placed On 15-Day DL
For the next two weeks, however, the Mets will need to fill a hole in the lineup left by Lucas Duda, who was added to the 15-day disabled list Saturday afternoon.

The first baseman will receive a second opinion Monday from Dr. Robert Watkins, the same doctor whom Wright consulted with before beginning his rehab assignment.
After each team put up one run in the first inning, the game turned into a classic Coors Field slugfest, something the Mets are very used to over the past few seasons.
“He obviously never fully healed to have it reoccur that quickly”, assistant general manager John Ricco said.
Duda did not have an MRI when the back stiffness first bothered him, but the Mets were encouraged that his condition did improve with medication and sitting for a few days.
The Mets have won six of ten, and look to take the second game of their series in Colorado after taking the opener, 14-9, on Friday.
“I felt good enough to play the first couple games [on this road trip], but it just kind of came back”, Duda said before Saturday’s game.
Jon Gray, who held the Mets to one run in a six-inning outing that resulted in a no-decision on August. 10, couldn’t get out of the second this time around. Cuddyer has been limited to starting only against lefties since he returned from the disabled list, but Collins said the veteran will receive playing time against righties now.
Baltimore was 51-1 when leading after seven innings, and O’Day (5-2) entered with a 1.15 ERA and a run of 11 straight scoreless appearances.

“We got a lot of pieces”. He entered the game with two home runs since joining the Mets at last month’s trade deadline. In parts of two seasons with the Mets, the New Jersey native hit. “He’s going to get some rest and time and I know when he gets back he will be ready to play”. He was checked by team trainers and remained in the game but went just 3 2-3 innings, allowing seven runs and nine hits, including all three of Colorado’s home runs.
