With the San Diego Comic-Con happening this weekend, there’s all sorts of exciting news and teasers coming out San Diego. This time, they unleashed a teaser trailer for Iron Fist starring Game of Thrones star Finn Jones as the titular hero.

‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ – The show will feature a crossover team-up between Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist as they face their biggest threat yet. The series, which will follow Danny Rand’s (Finn Jones) journey from a wealthy NY abode to the ancient city of Kun Lun, is slated to become the fourth major series in the franchise.

You can catch your next dose of Matt Murdoch however in Marvel’s recently teased The Defenders, which sees Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all come together Avengers-style for a special series.

Iron Fist is set to premiere sometime in 2017. “He’s a billionaire New York Buddhist monk martial arts superhero who’s still trying to figure out what exactly that all means”, said Executive Producer and showrunner, Scott Buck, via Marvel. It’s highly unlikely that we’d see anything before 2016 comes to an end, but a March/April release seems more feasible, as has been the case for its first two seasons.

Luke Cage made his debut with Marvel’s original for Netflix on Jessica Jones.
