Luke Montgomery Giving Larry David $5000 for ‘Interrupting’ Trump’s SNL Monologue
“I heard if I yelled that, they’d give me $5,000”, said David, shrugging. They still have to show that they are bona fide candidates within the state in which “Saturday Night Live” was broadcast, and NBC doesn’t necessarily have to give them time within the same program. 52,738 of those Donald Trump tweets mentioned “Abduct”, as with Trump’s hosting SNL coincided with a UFO sighting seen across Southern California, as Twitter joked about aliens abducting the real estate mogul.

For candidate Mr Trump, whose many interview and debate appearances have drawn large audiences, a surge in this week’s SNL ratings seemed assured.
“Having a politician in the midst of an active presidential campaign was always a dismal idea for ‘Saturday Night Live, ‘ particularly a candidate with as much negative baggage as Donald Trump”, wrote The Hollywood Reporter’s TV critic Daniel Fienberg.
According to Deadline, the highly protested and widely condemned appearance for Trump on the show was still a large draw for television audiences around the country when the show featured the Republican Presidential candidate for the party’s nomination.
The Republican front runner steered clear of making fun of an immigration plan that has angered Latinos but the show’s writers did make sure he was called a “racist” during his opening monologue.
“He said he loved when I did it”, he said. It worked, providing the group a platform to explain the reasoning for offering anyone – including Larry David – the chance to collect an easy $5,000 during SNL. From there Trump riffed on his feud with Rosie O’Donnell and addressed cast members Taran Killam and Darrell Hammond for their impersonations of him over the years.
This is not the first time that Trump hosted the NBC show.
During the show, he appeared in a parody of Drake’s new music video, “Hotline Bling.”
Trump’s episode – the second time he’s hosted since 2004 – beat the 41st season premiere ratings last month when Miley Cyrus hosted and Hillary Clinton made a guest appearance, as well as the previous high, the January 7, 2012 Charles Barkley-hosted SNL, reports Entertainment Weekly.
