Luke Pell Confirms He Was Supposed to Be the Next ‘Bachelor’
He had already checked into his flight online, and was preparing to make the journey to L.A. the following day when, all of a sudden, his world turned upside down. So I’m recalculating what I’m going to be doing. If producers approached him again to do The Bachelor, “I probably wouldn’t do it”, he admits.

Pell told ET his new outlook actually began when he returned home to Nashville, trying to put the pieces of his broken heart back together after Fletcher said goodbye to him on The Bachelorette.
This is nearly a mirror situation of the season of The Bachelorette where Luke appeared, as it was Caila Quinn, not JoJo Fletcher, who was the original choice for The Bachelorette season 12. I met with the wardrobe guys.
Personally, I would’ve preferred to see Luyendyk, Jr., a Dutch race vehicle driver living in Scottsdale, Arizona, over Soules, a farmer who expected his future wife to move to rural Iowa to live with him.
“Over those few months after the [show wrapped], I got back to a place where I was happy – I was happy for JoJo and Jordan [Rodgers] and their future”, he dished.
And as for how he really feels about The Bachelor – well, he might feel like he dodged a bullet.
According to The Daily Beast, the selection of Viall as the leading man of Season 21 is a legitimate shocker because of the show’s tradition to pick the next “Bachelor” from the pool of rejected suitors of the recent “Bachelorette”.
“I had finally got to the point where I thought, ‘This is going to happen, ‘” he explained. I don’t want to wait in the wings for what decisions they can make for my life. “I was willing and happy to do [that]”. “I’m nearly getting used to these dramatic swings of relationships and commitments. Thank you from a Luke Pell fan!” Between the decision to cast Nick and last year’s two-Bachelorette plan, the network does seem interested in throwing curveballs our way. “It was a very dramatic start to this past week, for sure”.
Viall has yet to comment on how he and Saviano left things at the end of Paradise season 3.

Lauren Himle opened up about what she witnessed between her good friend, Jen, and Nick while on Bachelor in Paradise. “I wish him the best”.
