Luke Shaw warns Man United the consequences of starting slow against Watford
United visit Watford in the Premier League on Sunday, when they will be seeking to bounce back from their back-to-back defeats by City, in the league, and Feyenoord, in the Europa League.

After all, they were able to make eight changes from the Manchester City loss to the starting XI versus Feyenoord. We have two days to recover and prepare for the important match on Sunday. “You win matches and people are happy and full of confidence”.
“They were 2-0 down as well, so to come back and win 4-2, away as well – everyone knows how hard it is to play against West Ham – I am sure they will be in good spirits ahead of the game on Sunday”.
He said: “Yes, I always expect maximum ambition and maximum focus it doesn’t matter the competition or the opponent”.
United next play Watford in the league and Mourinho added: “We go back to a normal team without so many changes”.
And so, United’s vast, opulent luxury liner came crashing upon the rocks as the likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the truly abysmal Memphis Depay repeatedly fell at the first hurdle in their attempts to claw back parity.
“We have to be disciplined for the whole game and execute our tactical plan well, to show that we have made steps in this area”, the Feyenoord manager said at a press conference. I must give a huge compliment to the team for the fight that we had up to the last minute. I know it is not a case of clicking your fingers.
“I have a very good relationship with Mourinho”.
“But obviously when you lose matches, the mood, the feeling, is not the same”. Fellaini has done great defensive work this season, leading the team in tackles per game, and he has also done a nice job keeping possession of the ball with a 87.9% pass success rate. “We were much more risky, we had our chances to equalise and who knows what could happen if we had equalised” said Mourinho after the game. We are experienced people, the players are good guys.
Even so, he could do with an influential performance from France midfielder Paul Pogba against Watford after the world record signing’s latest underwhelming performance in midweek.

Both losses were slender and could have been avoided were it not for ineffective first-half displays – something Shaw says cannot be repeated when they return to domestic action at Watford.
