LV Crash Suspect Makes First Court Appearance
“There is video evidence as you all can imagine there’s a number of cameras in and about the Las Vegas strip, I have viewed numerous videos, the video evidence is quite compelling”, said Prosecutor Steve Wolfson. After her arrest Sunday, she advised investigators she was broke, homeless and uninterested in being shooed away from on line casino parking garages, the place she and her daughter would sleep in the automotive.

A judge this morning delayed a preliminary hearing for Holloway, who appeared briefly in Las Vegas Township Justice Court.
A total of 35 people were injured in the crash.
Police say Holloway told them she had been living out of her auto with her 3 year old daughter for a week, and was exhausted on the night of the crash.
Valenzuela, 32, was from Buckeye, Arizona.
The homicide finding was expected, and it doesn’t find fault. The Clark County Coroner’s Office reported today that she died of multiple blunt-force injuries.
“We have heard nothing however good issues about her in the previous”, Abood stated.
Sachet said she joined the agency in 2009 and took a four-month break in late 2010. “We have great sympathy for the family of Jessica Valenzuela and all the other people who were injured”. The video may not be made public until a later court hearing.
She was charged Tuesday with one count of murder and one count of leaving the scene of an accident after the incident Sunday night.
“I’ve personally seen the videos from a variety of angles, and I’m appalled at the callousness of this defendant’s conduct and what appears to be an intentional act”, Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said.
She will likely face additional charges, probably attempted murder, Wolfson said. Three people were still in critical condition, and five others remained hospitalized. Holloway plans to plead not guilty when the time comes, Abood said.
Her next appearance is set for January 20 at 8 a.m. PT.
Holloway showed no resistance when police arrived, and she spoke coherently about what happened, the sheriff said.
“This is a surprise to everyone”, Abood said. “We have a lot of investigating and a lot of work to do”.
Holloway was being held in a “medically restricted” jail unit for inmates requiring increased supervision including those on suicide watch, according to Las Vegas police spokesman Michael Rodriguez.
Police expect autopsy results to be released Wednesday in the death of a woman who refused to leave a Florida hospital when doctors discharged her and collapsed when police arrested and forcibly removed her. A three-year-old child in the vehicle was uninjured in the crash. Holloway won’t be asked to answer the charges against her until a preliminary hearing in coming weeks.
