Lydia Ko refused to let a late bogey ruin her round as the teenage phenom fired a three-under 69 to take a share of the 54-hole lead at the Canadian Women’s Open Saturday.

Lewis continued to pick up shots and pulled even with Ko after carding a 67 in her final round to finish 12-under.
Ko, in the middle of the fairway, hit her approach far short and right of the flag and needed the same sort of stout two-putt she had in regulation to finish off Lewis, whose 10-foot par-saving putt just whispered past the hole.
Ko will earn US$337,500 for the win at Vancouver Golf Club – her third on the LPGA Tour this season.

Australia’s Minjee Lee tied for 23rd after posting a final round one-under-par 71 while Sarah Kemp finished in a tie for 32nd, two shots further back.
The 18-year-old Kiwi beat Stacy Lewis in a playoff and Canada’s The Province noted that she was a far cry from the young girl who had burst onto the world stage by winning the Canadian title twice as an amateur.
“I felt like, if I could get in at 13 under, I had a really good chance“.
On the back nine, Lewis hauled her in with birdies on the 16th and 17th. So Yeon Ryu, the 2014 CP Women’s Open champ, entered the final round disappointed with how her weekend had transpired, especially when it came to her putting.
The 17-year-old Henderson was playing her first event as an LPGA Tour member after winning the Portland Classic last week.
But she believes there are elements of her game she needs to improve upon in order to play up to such a high standard. She made a great chip to land on the green about nine feet from the hole.
“Should the LPGA decide to revitalise the old du Maurier at some point – I mean, if you’ve got five majors, why not push for six? I made a really good first putt on my normal 72nd hole, and made a good putt on the first playoff hole”. In the winter, Brooke played goalie through her teen years, which she credits for some of the leg strength that powers big drives off the tee.
“I wanted to show and give the crowd a little bit of excitement”, she said. “It kind of put me more out on the golfing world. Hopefully, next year in 2016 in Calgary, I’ll just be a pro by then”.
