Lynch, Willson out for Seahawks as expected vs. Vikings

“He did not travel with the team”. Seattle coach Pete Carroll engaged in a bit of gamesmanship following the final practice of the week on Friday, saying that the team still needed to see how Lynch responded today before making a final decision.

The Seahawks (10-6) are expected to perform well in the playoff as running back Marshawn Lynch is back on Sunday.

Lynch had practiced all week but was surprisingly declared out Friday night, and agent Doug Hendrickson told the Times it was because he suffered “a little tweak” to his surgically repaired abdomen during practice Friday.

Willson’s absence aside, Sunday will be as fully healthy as the Seahawks have been since Lynch went out in mid-November. That’s across the bay from Lynch’s hometown of Oakland, California.

“The first thing is, we need our fans to make it an advantage for us”, Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer said of the frigid forecast. “So he”™s ready to go, and we are anxious to see him fit in.”.

“All in all, it’s a very good week”.

Game time is upon us!

“I’ve got no animosity toward anybody in Minnesota because I got a chance to live out my dream”, Jackson said.

“To be honest I think we’re a better road team than a home team this year”, linebacker Bruce Irvin said. All we have to look forward to now is what the Seahawks’ and Lynch’s next move will be this offseason. “And he’s looked really good in practice”.

If Peterson wins, FedEx will make a $25,000 donation to Minneapolis’ local chapter of the American Red Cross. Lynch wasn’t on any of the buses or the plane, by his choosing. In his past five games, Peterson has averaged just 3.57 YPC. They were OK with his trainers, not theirs, deciding if and when he could return to the team, which he did Monday.

Lynch had missed the previous seven games following an abdominal injury that needed surgery, but had rejoined the squad this week, practicing Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. “Doing our best to get off blocking, doing our best to get him on the ground”. Minnesota Vikings welcomes and play host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon in the first rounder of the 2016 NFL Playoffs.

The weather won’t decide the game unless, of course, Seattle’s locker room door freezes shut before kickoff and traps Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Michael Bennett, K.J. Wright, Brandon Mebane and, well, you get the idea.
