MacBook Air 2016 release date news: Device may come sooner than 2016
In a report by China-based Economic Daily News and picked up by tech site BGR, Apple will be shifting its focus into making the larger iPad the flagship product for the tablet lineup, pushing plans for the iPad Air 3 aside.

However, fans of Apple tablets shouldn’t have their heads down as the iPad mini 4 is expected to launch later this year together with the bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
However, fans eager to grab hold of the third generation iPad Air will have to be a bit more patient as a recent report indicates that the iPad Air 3’s release date will be much later than its September contemporaries.
Apple has neither confirmed nor denied the news regarding the release date of the MacBook Air and the existence of the iPad Pro. Yet, a Taiwanese outfit suggests this is simply not the case.
On the other hand, it was previously purported that MacBook Air and Pro 2016 will be announced in October alongside the new generation of iPad Mini and the new iPad Pro.
In line with the priorities of Apple, MacBook Air and Pro 2016 release may happen at the next Apple event or major launch.
As a result, the iPad Air 2 has performed excellently in terms of sales, beating its smaller sibling in the iPad mini 3.
Digital media news company DigiTimes claims that there will be no iPad Air 3 this year amidst the slowing demand for tablets and other computing devices that are larger than smartphones. The upcoming iPad mini 4 will have an eight-megapixel rear iSight camera, A8 processor and 2GB of RAM.
They explained that they have already gotten all the components ready for the MacBook Pro for WWDC before Intel released the new Skylake chip so that was why it did not make it in.
There is no official word from Apple yet about the aforementioned rumors.

Rumors about the new iPad pro revels that the products will have a display larger than 11 inches, some put this at 12.9 inches, though, will run on Skylake processor from Intel, will feature a Force Touch Technology, OS EL X Captain, and comes with a longer and better battery life!
