MacBook Pro set for face-lift
In that case, if we’re hearing so much about these new MacBook Pros already yet we shouldn’t expect to see them on September 7, that all but points to Apple throwing yet another event in November.

An Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer with Retina display stands on a table at a Gravis Apple retailer on November 6, 2012 in Berlin, Germany. However, a Q4 2016 unveiling is still expected.
The MacBook Pro has additionally been supposed to shake things up with a touch OLED panel, thinner design, and will come with USB-C ports. Positioned above the keyboard as a replacement for the traditional physical function keys, the strip would come with OLED-based icons, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted. The new graphics card is more than 20 percent thinner than its predecessor, AMD said earlier this year.
Apple has reportedly tested different variants of the impending laptops, which will integrate a “scanner beside the new function key display”. Similarly, in iTunes, media playback controls could be offered up by the touchscreen.
The display also allows Apple to add new buttons via software updates rather than through more expensive, slower hardware refreshes. Although, they won’t adopt the wedge-shape design made iconic by the MacBook Air. Reports say that Apple will use one of AMD’s Polaris graphics chips, which will be power efficient and very thin, fitting perfectly inside a slimmer MacBook Pro new model.
The pressure-sensitive touchpad is expected to be bigger. That’s according to a new report published by Bloomberg, and written by journalist and respected Apple scoopster Mark Gurman. The new MacBooks are also rumored to feature USB-C with support for Thunderbolt 3.

Now, if hearing that the MacBook Pro 2016 may feature some kind of additional Touch ID functionality sounds familiar, that’s probably because this is not the first time that the subject has been brought up before within the rumor mill. In addition to unlocking your notebook, the feature will also be helpful when it comes to authenticating Apple App Store purchases and other transactions from various online stores.
