With his new, and highly anticipated son “What Do You Mean” coming out in two days, MTV has confirmed that this is what he will be performing.

The 21-year-old singing superstar returned to the stage at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival last weekend, nearly two years after his last major tour wrapped up. After he was nominated three times in 2012 for his song “Boyfriend”, he kind of disappeared in the music scene, until now.

Kanye West, who will no doubt engage in antics that will prove to be a ratings hit, will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for the cultural impact his music and fashion have had on a generation. Taylor Swift has announced she’ll share the premiere of the “Wildest Dreams” video during the telecast and Nick Jonas will use the platform of the prelude event to present a debut live performance of “Levels”.

Bieber’s fellow pop provocateur Miley Cyrus is hosting the VMAs, and he name-checked her in a tweet announcing his performance.
