Macon County Health Department, DMCOC hosting flu shot clinic
Vaccination is recommended for everyone six-months of age and older. Experts also recommend the flu vaccination for those who are pregnant. “It can take two weeks for the flu vaccine to be effective”.

Santoski also said getting a flu shot is important for both the person getting the shot and the people they interact with. “It is important for all Manitobans six months of age and older to get immunized to prevent infection and protect not only their own health, but the health of others in their community”.
Flu season is just around the corner, and it’s a good idea to get your flu shot early while there is plenty of vaccine.
Flu shots will be offered at the Thompson Regional Community Centre Oct. 19-21 from noon to 6 p.m. and again from Oct. 26-29 at the same time and location. Insurance is accepted for children’s flu shots.
Children under 9 will need to be vaccinated at a public health clinic.
Walgreens is open from 8 a.m.to 8 p.m. No appointment is needed to get a flu shot.
We learned that the Chattanooga Hamilton County Health Department got this year’s flu shot.
