The sets were sold till September at Macy’s stores as well as website for a price of nearly $170.
The sauce pans and stockpots which are also a part of the ten piece cookware set do not come under the recall efforts.
Three people have been hurt, with the discs causing bruises, burns and welts.
The flying metal discs in question are the covering over the rivets which attach the pan to it handle.
The agency said: ‘UPC numbers 0733003518899, 0733003623326, 0766370840959 or 0766370980334 can be found on the product packaging or purchase receipt’. The two frying pans should be returned to their place of purchase if they have a date code listed in the CPSC’s notice.
About 121,000 units are being recalled.
If you’ve recently gifted or been gifted a new set of cookware, you may want to check to make sure it’s not being recalled.
The pans were sold at Macy’s stores nationwide and Military Exchanges.
You can find additional product information and recall information online.
