Taylor Swift had another surprise guest as she opened her first of five concerts at Staples Center on Friday.

During her concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Friday night, Kobe Bryant appeared on stage to shower T-Swift with praise.

Bryant then presented Swift with her very own banner, which read, “Most Sold Out Performances”.

After the award presentation, Swift continued to perform her hit songs to the sold out crowd, who included several big name stars.

Yep, alongside actor Chris Rock and model Sean O’Pry, Matt LeBlanc came on stage with Swifty for the weirdest celeb line-up ever.

“The banners up at Staples Center right now because WHAT IS LIFE EVEN”, the singer wrote on Instagram, captioning a shot of the accolades. The trade that sent Kobe Bryant to play under the lights of Hollywood shook up the National Basketball Association as we know it today. “Since before you know what my album was gonna be called, we planned this tour, and I’ve been excited about these shows”. “But he started screaming nearly immediately, so she sheepishly handed him back to his mom”.

Throughout the night, her between-song-banter seemed more natural and at ease than it has at points in the past, and the audience cheered all her words of self-empowerment and self-worth. It is Swift’s ability to connect with her fans on a personal level that sets her apart from many of her contemporaries. This time, “Crazy Eyes” actually got to show off her insane voice, sitting down for a full-on acoustic duet of one of the rare Swift oldies of the night, “White Horse“.

Uzo Aduba (Saturday): Also there to perform with Taylor rather than merely join her collection of celebrity besties, so while she’s an incredible and perfectly current actress for Swift to absorb, she avoids direct comparison to Julia Roberts, Joan Baez, or the U.S. women’s soccer team.

The 25-year-old, who has reportedly amassed a £160 million fortune, had understandably chosen to help her close pal Jaime King celebrate the christening of her second child, Leo.
