Made ‘Sarbjit’ keeping in mind sensitivity of family: Aishwarya
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who returned from Cannes on Tuesday morning made a decision to skip the musical evening of her upcoming film Sarbjit. The team spoke to the press collected there and mentioned that they were very eager to show their work to the audience. We are glad today onwards it (the film) is open to you all to view.

Directed by Omung Kumar, the forthcoming biographical drama film will see the 42-year-old actress essaying the role of Sarabjit’s sister, Dalbir Kaur while Randeep Hooda will be seen in the role of Indian prisoner Sarbjit Singh.
“It’s a very honest piece of cinema straight from the heart”. Guess the actress kept it simple because of the realistic role she’s portraying in the film.
Aishwarya thanked the Uttar Pradesh government where the film has been declared tax free.
Aishwarya said, “The hope and attempt for the whole team to see where all it can be tax-free”. It means a lot. Actors like Riteish Deshmukh, Ali Fazal, Manish Paul, Saqib Saleem, Athiya Shetty, Hussain Kuwajerwala and Darshan Kumar were also present.

The movie is based on the real life story of a man named Sarbjit Singh who had been prisoned after being arrested by Pakistan army while he crossed the border unknowingly. “Now it’s over, it’s not in my hands so it is an excitement to share it with people”.
