Madrid can retain Champions League – Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has little doubt Real Madrid will prove to be too strong for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the race for the LaLiga title this season.

Ronaldo’s current contract runs out in 2018.
Marcos Llorente is 21-years of age and along with a selection of Madrid’s young players, was sent out on loan ahead of this season to gain experience while having more pitch time in competitive games.
Ronaldo also hit back at old adversary and former Barcelona great Xavi for suggesting that Lionel Messi was a better player than the Real striker.
“Cristiano’s problem is that there’s another player in his era who is the best of all time”, he added.
He went on: “Why is Xavi relevant?”
No club has retained the European Cup since the revamped format was introduced by UEFA for the 1992-93 season, AC Milan in 1990 being the last side to win the famous trophy back to back.
“I couldn’t care less what Xavi says about me, he plays in Qatar or I don’t even know where”.
Real have not claimed the La Liga crown since the 2011-12 campaign, however, they have won the Champions League twice and Copa del Rey once during the period since their last title triumph. However, it is clear that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to stay with Real Madrid and he wants to be there for the rest of his career.
Speaking after his side’s 5 – 2 win over Osasuna where he opened the scoring in the sixth minute, Ronaldo asked the club to sign him on a 10 year contract. I am not anxious and neither is the president.
Ronaldo, who reiterated afterwards that he wants to see out his career at Real, started the rout by knocking home an inviting cut-back from Gareth Bale. “Now I need to play”.
“Xavi never won the Ballon d’Or, I have three”, he said, referring to the Federation Internationale de Football Association award for the world player of the year.

This isn’t the first time we have seen disharmony among the ranks at the Bernabeu, with a similar occurrence happening in 2005, when a split was created between the club’s Spanish and Brazilian players. He is ready to play 90 minutes.
