Madrid clubs say FIFA’s transfer bans have been put on hold
Federation Internationale de Football Association never revealed which players Barcelona had been sanctioned for but have banned several of the club’s top youth players, forcing some – including Japanese starlet Takefusa Kubo – to leave the club and move back home.

Madrid’s new coach Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of Hazard and Real still hold out some hope of bringing Spain No 1 De Gea to the club after last summer’s botched transfer collapsed on deadline day.
The ban was supposed to take effect this summer and both clubs were permitted to sign players this transfer window.
The original ban would have meant that Real and Atletico would have been prohibited from signing any players until 2017.
Real and Atletico were banned by the world governing body earlier this month from registering new signings for the next two transfer windows for breaching rules on the worldwide transfer and registration of players aged under 18.
Federation Internationale de Football Association have suspended the transfer bans imposed on La Liga sides, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Press Association Sport understands that the appeals of the two Madrid clubs will be heard before the summer.

Should FIFA not make a decision on the appeal by the beginning of this summer, both clubs would be eligible to sign players during the 2016 summer window. However, the embargo has now been lifted after both clubs announced their intention to appeal the original ruling and punishment.
