Madrid keeps formula to try to repeat in Champions League

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at his doubters, defiantly exclaiming, “I’m the most searched player on the internet”.

According to new reports, “a bomb is ready to go off” in the club’s dressing room and that “the detonator is already ticking down” in light of the Welshman’s off-pitch attitude and claim that there may also be issues between returning striker Alvaro Morata and Cristiano Ronaldo, who is keen to see Karim Benzema retain his spot as Madrid’s first-choice striker, while Morata wants to take the spot for himself. “At the moment I can’t imagine anything other than seeing out my career at Real Madrid”, Ronaldo said.

Despite Xavi’s admission that Ronaldo is a top player, Real Madrid’s greatest ever goalscorer is clearly unhappy with the Spaniard’s comments. The problem is that there is another who has been pretty much the best player in history. “This is the biggest club in the world and it should have the best players”, Ronaldo added.

“When players, coaches want to appear on the front pages they talk about Cris, it is normal”.

Xavi, who is now plying his trade with Qatari football club Al Sadd after making a move from the Spanish giants following the 2014/15 La Liga season, opined his former Barcelona teammate would be the number one until he stopped playing. He plays in Qatar or I don’t know where. “He has won it all, but never a Ballon d’Or”. He won eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues with Barcelona as well as two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup with Spain. By contrast, Ronaldo is favourite to beat out Messi to his fourth Ballon d’Or in January after lifting both the Champions League with Madrid in May and then ending Portugal’s drought without a major tournament win at Euro 2016. “I’m fit again and got back in the swing of things, and I scored a goal, so it was flawless”.
