Mads Mikkelsen confirmed for new Marvel film

Although we’ve already seen several pictures from the Doctor unusual set, Marvel on Tuesday finally announced production on the film is underway. In the same way that Guardians came in and was a unique visual take on the Marvel Universe that was very different from the stuff that came before it, I think Doctor unusual is going to be the same way. We’ve actually known for a while that Rachel McAdams would be joining Doctor unusual for some time.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, also an Emmy and Oscar nominee, as well as British Academy Film Award victor for Best Actor (for 12 Years a Slave) as Karl Mordo.

McAdams is rumoured to be playing Night Nurse, Michael Stuhlbarg may be playing Nicodemus West, and Mikkelsen potentially could be villain Dormammu.

Doctor unusual when it hits theaters November 4, 2016. Phase 3’s goal-over the course of four years and nine films-is to introduce audiences to new heroes and continue the adventures of fan favorites.

In doing so, it’s confirmed that the film is also set to film in NY and Hong Kong, and it’s given a brief story outline. Kevin Feige is producing.

The film, according to Marvel, will follow Doctor Stephen unusual who, after a horrific vehicle accident, discovers a hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Other key production personnel include Avengers: Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy director of photography Ben Davis, B.S.C. Sinister co-writer/helmer Scott Derrickson will direct this big screen adaptation with a screenplay written by Mummy reboot scribe Jon Spaihts.
