Mafia III set in 1960s New Orelans
Late last month it was confirmed by 2K Games that Mafia 3 is being developed and that it will have more to share soon.

As promised, the first trailer for Mafia III was released earlier today at Gamescom 2015.
Although they haven’t shared much about the gameplay yet, 2K Games have been pretty enthusiastic about detailing the setting and plot that those playing Mafia III will find themselves experiencing.
“Mafia 3” is set in New Orleans in 1968.
Mafia III follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a disenfranchised Vietnam veteran, returning from combat and looking for a home and a place to belong.
With a more noir-ish and murky atmosphere than the blackly comic Grand Theft Auto games, Mafia III is a 60s-set story about a multi-racial gang on a trail of murder and revenge. Unfortunately, his new family is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian mob. The black mob had ties with the Mafia, but things did not go well.
The incident trigger Lincoln to fight back as he teams up with a small group and organizes the fall of the Italian mob in New Orleans.
The game will tackle sensitive issues like violent racism. Clay was born into an orphanage, became a soldier in the Vietnam War, and is someone who runs with gang life.
Interestingly, right at the end we see three other people joining Clay, which IGN says are “Cassandra and her Haitians, Burke and his Irish, and the protagonist from Mafia 2, Vito Scaletta, who lends his faction of Italians”, so we’ll be seeing some familiar faces when Mafia III comes out next year.

From the looks of the trailer above, the game will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
