There’s a game in New York City, a game in Milwaukee, a game in Atlanta, a game in Arizona, a game in Seattle.

The idea makes total sense.

It’s supposed to be near-perfect Fall weather all weekend long.

This year, there’s still drama, if not to the level of 2011.

We’re headed to the final four days of baseball’s regular season, with one eye on the skies as Hurricane Joaquin bears down on the East Coast and the other on the standings in a few unsettled races.

While the National League picture is far clearer, weather has already impacted the New York Mets. The desired notion of eight games deciding multiple playoff spots is not happening.

Would Major League Baseball push back the ALDS? Consider this your handy guide.

If it were not for that spot, two of its postseason contenders would be left out of the tournament, fighting exclusively for the top spot in the division. The only thing potentially on the line here is the Phillies’ attempts to hang on to the worst record in baseball and grab the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 Draft. That was taken care of on Thursday, because the Angels, even with a sweep, cannot capture the AL West crown. Maybe this could be used to grab prime tailgating space before the Seahawks play on “Monday Night Football”. You just don’t know.

And if you’ve kept Matt Holliday through all of his injury problems, you got a small reward Saturday when he doubled twice and drove in two runs. The Yanks have had little issue with the Twins this year, taking five of six games. The Twins will play one more against the Indians tonight before heading back home for a three-game set against the Royals.

In their last 16 games at the Globe against the Angels, the Rangers have won twice. The result is essentially Wild Card semifinal where the two winning teams face of in the “real” Wild Card playoff round. After Tuesday’s action, they had a 57% shot of winning it, but things haven’t gone so hot for them since then. All in all, L.A. has a good chance of sweeping the A’s. So enjoy glorious PNC Park.

Mariners: Seattle has a day off before opening final series at home against Oakland. It’s going to be a tough battle, though. He has worked 5 1/3 frames in each of his last four starts, going 1-1 with a 2.95 ERA during that stretch.

The Blue Jays, 92-66, have a one-game advantage over the Kansas City Royals, 91-67, for home-field advantage, and have the tie-breaker advantage.

Yankees reliever Adam Warren snares a ground ball off the bat of Boston’s Sandy Leon with a no-look, behind-the-back play and tosses to first for the out.

Now, for the first time since 2012, the Yanks will get to showcase that mantra in the postseason with their next stop being a one-game playoff likely against either the Astros, Twins or Angels. They would have to play a doubleheader, just as they did Wednesday in Cleveland, or if necessary, push any postponed game until Monday. Mark Reynolds followed that with a two-run homer that gave the Cardinals the 3-0 decision. In that case the Twins are tied with both the Angels and the Astros for the Wild Card. This is the scenario this schedule was meant for.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels back is mobbed by his teammates after the final out of the baseball game against the Los Angeles Angels in Arlington Texas Sunday Oct. 4 2015. The Rangers clinched the AL West title on the last day of the
