Magnitude 3.8 earthquake recorded in northwestern Oklahoma

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this natural disaster was recorded at 10:09 a.m.

Canadian media reported sustained shaking for about 25 seconds with reports of people feeling the quake up to 93 miles away.

The USGS reported the magnitude 3.5 temblor, which occurred at 7:12 a.m., was centered 4.3 miles north of Ellis.

There have been 504 magnitude 3.0 or greater quakes in Oklahoma so far this year, USGS records show.

On August 31, a 3.2 magnitude natural disaster occurred about four miles north-northwest of Ellis.
