(The name of the Aurangzeb Road has been changed after the name of such a great man who despite being a Muslim was a great nationalist and humanist). But the respected Culture Minister did not seem to find it important to specify what bans he was talking about.

As per reports, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has recently given a statement backing Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma’s comment against night outs said that presently in the Indian culture, the wild binging is intolerable for both women and men because the Indian culture certainly suggests people to be early risers.

We are anyway not new to these bans during navratris and Roza-Iftaaris. Is this the opinion of the PM that this government views 17 crore proud Muslims in India as not being nationalist? According to the minister, there was nothing wrong in respecting the sentiments of the religious group for a couple of days.

Sharma created a flutter with his remark on Kalam that was seen as a slight for the minorities.

Aurangzeb Road ka nam bhi badal kar ek aise mahapursh ke naam par kiya hai jo Musalman hotey hue bhi itna bada rashtravaadi aur manavtavadi insaan tha.

Describing Sharma as an “illiterate and ignorant person”, party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad said these comments betray the divide and rule mentality of the Britishers that has been inherited by the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh.

Sharma sparked off a controversy by saying that girls’ wanting a night out is unacceptable in India.

Responding to this, Mahesh Sharma said that, he respects Bible and Quran, as Gita and Ramayana. Women from our country are going to space, then, how can I say that they are not equal.

Though the intention of Mahesh Sharma is positive, the words he is using to express his feelings are appearing in the negative shade, which thereby leading to the controversies.
