A video of his security personnel thrashing a housing society’s security guards on 18 August had gone viral on social media. He had allegedly demanded to know why the minister was kept waiting despite his beaconed auto.
Ghaziabad: A guard standing next to the man tried to save him from being beaten by Mahesh Sharma’s security officer, but he too was slapped repeatedly in return. The security guards, who were thrashed by the minister’s personnel, said that they do not want to work in the society anymore alleging they go through similar ordeal every now and then.
The incident has angered the residents of the housing complex.
“I have gone there more than 100 times.I know the protocol”.
The minister also sought police probe into the matter and apologised to the housing society president. Inspite of that he held me, which is fine.
He said he heard of the incident only when he left his sister’s home. “They were fighting. Why drag a minister into this?”
