Maine gas prices fall again, but that may change soon
BP said Tuesday it has safely restarted its crude distillation unit at its Whiting refinery, some two weeks after the sprawling Whiting refinery that produces 10 percent of the Midwest’s gasoline was shutdown for repairs.

The restarting of this unit will increase the refinery’s fuel production and BP hopes it will ramp up its output over time.
On Saturday, a Speedway station in the Roscoe Village neighborhood dropped its price more than a dollar-to $2.35-for about five hours, according to gasbuddy.com spokesman Patrick DeHaan.
GasBuddy is expecting gas prices to drop across the Midwest.
Look for pump prices to fall as a result, he said.
Gas prices in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph are now the highest in the region, with the lowest price standing at $2.74 today.
Wisconsin’s statewide average is $2.82 for a gallon of regular. This compares with the national average that has fallen 7.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.60 a gallon.

The release continued to state that while gas stations will be able to buy cheaper gas and should then be able to pass that savings along to drivers, they will also attempt to regain their losses from the unprecedented spike in prices two weeks ago.
