In late May, Kotaku reported that Microsoft is also looking to beef up its Xbox One, and it has plans to release a more powerful version at some point in 2017.

Sony also announced all of the games available on the E3 show floor, for those who are gonna be in L.A for the event.

E3 2016 is around the corner, with the main show starting on Tuesday 14 June.

Sony keep teasing Crash Bandicoot, with a sign in their PS4 ads (before launch) and Shaun Layden wearing a Crash Bandicoot t-shirt past year.

Given that both the PS4 and the Xbox One were only just released in 2013, and the life-expectancy of a successful game console is typically in the six to eight year range, you’d be forgiven for scratching your head and feeling a tiny bit annoyed that the expensive box you just bought is no longer the new hotness. In a report by Gamespot, the PlayStation 4 has already sold more than 100 million units outcompeting its rivals. In the interim though, there’s a good chance we’ll see Skyrim remastered for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Back on Sunday, Sony listed Psychonauts for release on PlayStation 4 today, June 7.

Nintendo is rumoured to be working on a new console but, more than likely, will just concentrate on promoting its new mobile game and upcoming Zelda and Mario titles. If the Neo and the Xbox One Slim don’t get announced at E3, I’ll eat my hat, then your hat, then I’ll go on a hat-eating spree in a shopping centre.

This is wishful thinking, but we hope Gravity Rush 2 gets promoted as this fall’s big exclusive release.

So far, details about the successor to the PlayStation 4 have been hazy. First, there will be a smaller version of the Xbox One in stores this August. It’s a new version of the Xbox One and not a whole new console.

According to a rumor published in EDGE magazine, the reason Sony put PS4.5 into development in the first place is because the original PS4 won’t be able to deliver a high quality VR experience.

Monday June 13th is the Press Conference, and it starts at 5:30 PM Pacific time.

Though it was only briefly touched upon last year, it’s expected to be given a prominent showing during this year’s presentation, and I’m going to throw my hat into the ring and suggest that it’ll be the stand-out game featured in Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference.

With the leaked map photo of “Red Dead Redemption 2″, fans are waiting for Rockstar Games to announce the western action-adventure video game in E3. Now our staff has put together some predictions if you want to see what each of us this will be shown at E3 here. The current PS4 can handle 1080p resolution at 60fps with most games, but increasing that to a 4K would require several big upgrades.

Sony and Microsoft are expected to debut new consoles at E3 the videogaming industry s annual event
