Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said he is postponing a planned trip to Israel.
Trump’s remarks on Muslims also have caused a global tempest.
“Believe me, I think that the worst thing that ever happened to Israel happened to be Barack Obama”, he said on Fox News. “But, my deal would be they treat me fairly and I’m going to treat them fairly”.
“People recognize me for being a boxer and a man of truth”, he said. They say, “Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic'”, he said. “And what he is saying now is not only shameful and wrong, it is unsafe”.
“Unfortunately, even though people don’t want to hear it because a lot of what he says is inflammatory toward certain groups, it is the truth, because we have a massive problem”.
While Republican voters were most likely to say they were excited (24 per cent) or optimistic (41 per cent), a full one-third of Republicans say they are concerned or scared about Trump. A DAMAC spokesman declined to comment on why Trump’s image was removed from a billboard outside the project site.
Top Minnesota Republicans distanced themselves from Trump’s remarks.
In a statement headline ‘Presidential Candidates Proposing to Ban Muslim Immigration to the United States, ‘ Ali, a three time world heavyweight boxing champ, did not just single out Trump.
“He’s welcome to visit Israel, but I think it’s better that he didn’t come because his visit here would have been marred by a loud dissenting voice coming from all sectors of the population, including me”, Zell said.
The White House had said that his comments about Muslims may have “disqualified” him from running for the presidency.

“We know he was coming to Israel to get Jewish lobby’s support”. But lately, as Trump’s candidacy has advanced from an oddity to having a real chance to capture the GOP nomination, Clinton has started to use more grave terms to describe the man with whom she used to be friendly.
