Make-A-Wish(R) Celebrates WWE(R) Superstar John Cena(R) for Granting Record
Well, this morning on Today, Cena officially crossed the 500 wishes barrier, something no other celebrity has come close to achieving.

Cena, who’s long held the title for the celebrity who’s granted the most wishes through the charity, appeared on NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday to mark the milestone moment. Attendees included John Cena, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO David Williams, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, WWE Divas The Bella Twins® – Nikki and Brie, WWE Superstar Sheamus®, wish kids and their families.
Rocco Lanzer was diagnosed with leukemia in January, and the 8-year-old’s hero, Cena, already visited him once in the hospital during his treatment earlier this year.
“A lot of times when people donate time or resources, there’s a little speculation about where it goes”, he said.
John Cena is a WWE legend and, more importantly, an awesome human being.
I’ll admit, sometimes I’ve been a bit cynical about the Make-A-With thing, but all that evaporates when you actually see Cena with these kids. “It is inspiring to see the impact that granting wishes can have and I look forward to granting 500 more”.

He’s always been working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to give sick children experiences they’ll never forget.
