Making a Murderer season 2 just started production
Convicted killer Steven Avery, the subject of the Netflix true crime series “Making a Murderer”, isn’t done fighting for his freedom – and the directors aren’t done telling his story. SheKnows let fans know on Tuesday that Season 2 of Making a Murderer should provide some updates on details and people that Season 1 left hanging seven months ago, including what Steven Avery is doing behind bars and if Brendan Dassey’s case is being reexamined.

“Making a Murderer” chronicled the story of Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey as they tried to clear their names.
There’s no word on when the new series will land, but since it’s a Netflix original we can be pretty certain that all the service’s subscribers across the world will be able to watch it.
“We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response to, and support of, the series”, Ricciardi and Demos said in their statement with Netflix Media Center.
The original series of Making a Murderer was nominated for six Emmy awards, including Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.

No official launch date has been announced, but Netflix executives said viewers will get “access to Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner and Dassey’s legal team.as well as intimate access to the families and characters close to the case”. Avery was expecting to get paid millions in restitution by the county with a win from the lawsuit, but instead managed to turn attention to himself as a suspect in the murder of Teresa Halbach. The two were convicted, but the show raised questions about the fairness of the trial.
