The brothers run a Fort Lee-based chain of dance studios called Dance with Me with fellow pro Tony Dovolani. Also returning to the competition is pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who last competed on the show in 2014 when he won the Mirrorball Trophy with dance partner Meryl Davis, Entertainment Tonight reported.

If the reports are true, Lochte would not be the first controversial contestant to compete on the show. Since then, Chmerkovskiy has appeared on the series on numerous occasions as a special guest judge – which should make his return as a pro that much more interesting. We have a lot of different pros coming back. In an interview on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Aug. 23, the dancer said that the new season is going to be “amazing”. Multiple outlets are reporting that the disgraced Olympian will be heading to season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. They include reigning Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and former Wizards of Waverly Place and The Fosters star Jake T. Austin.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy took a break from “Dancing with the Stars” after winning season 18.

“I’m also excited for the pros”, he added. The first thing that I did after hugging her [Meryl] … was come up to Derek [Hough] and I was like, ‘Dude, I don’t know how you do it.’ He did it five times.

The other pro dancers and 13 contestants will be announced on August 30 on GMA.
