Sources said that he passed away at 11:40 am at PVS Hospital in Kochi. He had been suffering from liver cirrhosis for very long time and was hospitalized several times in the last few months. The film was completed while he was undergoing treatment.

“He was on life support since yesterday”.
He was admitted to the hospital on February 25 and immediately put on the ventilator.
He has made five films in his career the latest being “Vettah” that released on Friday.
The 41-year-old Malayalam director who has helmed films like Traffic, Mili and Vettah, was in a critical condition in Kochi. He got a break through with a film named “Traffic” in 2011 which was also remade in other South Indian languages and Hindi.
His body will be cremated here tomorrow.
