Male dancer steals show at Heat tryouts – then gets cut

Unfortunately, not even that showing was enough to earn Wilson a spot on the team. Though the Miami Heat has never had a male dancer, men are technically still allowed to audition.

His opening round audition – to Beyonce’s ‘Run the World (Girls)’ – has now been watched over 350,000 times after it was shared on YouTube last week. Wilson left with his head high, however, confident that the Heat will one day accept a male onto the team.

“The Heat are actually one of those organizations that are open to anything, and so I’m pretty sure one day it’ll happen”. Adding of his motivation, “Dancing”. That’s it. It has no gender, it has no sexuality. “It’s just dance. It’s an art”, stated Wilson.

Keith made it through three rounds but didn’t make the final cut.

The 28-year-old choreographer and dance teacher at Exclusive Vibes Contemporary Dance Theatre first auditioned for the award-winning dance team back in 2012, and came back this year to flaunt his moves.
