Malema votes, but has one complaint
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has cast his vote in Seshego, Limpopo.

“Why would you need an endorsement from your member?” You should ordinarily know that your member is voting for you.
Tau introduced the ward’s ANC candidate to the former president. “That is stupidity”, said Malema after touring the IEC national results operations centre in Pretoria. We are killing them. We are young people, full of energy and ideas. “We are led by intellectuals and not people who survive through some struggle credentials but thinking dololo (nothing)”.
The party’s candidates for Tshwane and Ekurhuleni are also expected at the Mbeki home in Houghton. “I’m really hoping that would happen”, he said. “We have met many times with President Mbeki before today and we also met his mother as well, so there’s nothing awkward”, he said after the meeting on Monday.
“That is an organisation in a crisis.
Certainly from his position as a former president of the Republic, who was a leader of ANC members and non-ANC members, a meeting like this should not come as a surprise”, Mbeki’s spokesman Mukoni Ratshitanga was quoted saying in an IOL report. There has been much speculation as to why he has not joined the ANC’s mobilisation efforts despite the party’s Gauteng leadership asking for his assistance.
Meanwhile, the ruling party has expressed indifference regarding Monday’s meeting, with ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe saying there was nothing extraordinary about it.
“The reality is that the EFF represents Africanism and the president is an Africanist”.
“The people of Vuwani must do the right thing and go and vote”.
“President Mbeki knows that politics is politics, he’s a seasoned politician. He even walked us out and gave us hugs when we left”.
Malema says the EFF delegation was warmly received and dismissed suggestions by the media present that the meeting may have been tense given Malema’s history with Mbeki.
“The campaign is in quiet capable hands”. The ANC is known for something called khomba ndlela.
