Malik Ishaq among two sons killed in alleged police shootout
16 militants, including chief of a banned outfit have been killed in an alleged police encounter, early morning in Muzaffargarh.

Ishaq and his two sons were killed in subsequent police firing, said the officers, both of whom declined to be identified. Ishaq along with six accused were taken to Muzaffargarh for identification of weapons, where his accomplices tried to get them released.
According to reports, men on motorcycles opened fire at the CTD convoy as soon as they reached Shahwala Jungle near Muzaffargarh in a bid to release Ishaq. Fourteen militants were killed in the ensuing gun battle.
At least six CTD personnel sustained injuries in the incident.
Bodies of all the deceased have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for post mortem. All gates of the hospital were sealed soon after.

Police further along the road attacked the gunmen as they were fleeing, killing Ishaq, his two sons, and 11 others, Ghazanfar cited the policemen as saying in his message.
