Mamata to retain power in West Bengal, predicts C-Voter exit poll

In the 2011 Assembly elections, the TMC had won 184 seats. “Mamata Banerejee government’s peace and communal harmony will win the hearts and minds of the people of Bengal”, TMC spokesperson Derek O’Brien said. The India Today-Axis poll and Today’s Chanakya also shows the BJP winning big, with 86 and 90 seats respectively.

AIUDF to get 10 seats, whereas others will get 2 seats only. As per ABP-Nielsen poll, BJP-AGP-BPF would get 81 seats.

This would be the first time; BJP will form a government in Assam. The Left Front, which was ousted from power in the state after 34 years of interrupted rule, only managed to win 62 seats.
