Man, 2 kids killed in 2-car crash on Long Island roadway
According to police, Ancio Ostane, of St. Albans, was driving a 2005 Toyota westbound on the Southern State just west of Exit 41-Bay Shore Road-when the vehicle was struck from behind by a 2008 BMW at about 1:30 a.m.

Ancio Ostane and his two children, 8-year-old Andy and 4-year-old Sephora, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Oneil Sharpe Jr., 24, of Queens, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
Oniel Sharpe Jr., 24, of Springfield Gardens, Queens, didn’t speak to reporters as he was escorted from the 3rd Precinct in Bay Shore to be arraigned in Central Islip on July 13. The Toyota burst into flames upon impact, authorities said. The front seat passenger of the Toyota, Lucnie Bouaz-Ostane, escaped from the burning vehicle, was transported by ambulance to South Side Hospital and later released with minor injuries.
‘I want my family back, ‘ she said.

Still stunned from the magnitude of her loss, now this 37-year-old is preparing to bury her very reason for living: the humble husband, a math professor, who still brought his wife flowers after work, and the two kids she adored.

He was due to appear in Suffolk County District Court in Central Islip on Monday morning.
