CBS 19 reports that the victims were on private property in Anderson County.

One person has been arrested in connection with the death of six people, including one child, in Anderson County.

Police said the victims were visiting the area and staying in a trailer that belonged to one of those killed. Three other male victims have not yet been identified.

Among the victims – a few from north Texas – were Carl Johnson, Thomas Kamp, who owned the property, and his girlfriend Hannah Johnson.

Apparently shots were heard on the property between 4am and 5am Sunday, and an injured female-the only survivor-called police about the attack.

According to the Johnson family, the six were killed Saturday night.

This is the largest homicide in Anderson County history, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department said.

She says Hudson became especially violent after his father passed away last December.

Cynthia Johnson was placed in protective custody by authorities overnight on Sunday.

According to the paper, Carl and Cynthia were employees of the University of ME at Farmington and retired to Texas. Their daughter moved there to be closer to them.

The Texas Rangers have joined in the investigation.
