Man Arrested After 2 Georgia Teens Fatally Shot in the Head

Information on the victims’ cell phones helped lead investigators to Hazelwood, police said.

Detectives said from the evidence they have at this time, they believe the teens were killed in the parking lot where their bodies were found. He was questioned and was arrested at around 5 a.m. Wednesday, Grant said.

A delivery driver found the teens fatally shot behind a Publix grocery store shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.

Roswell police said Natalie Henderson, of Roswell, and Carter Davis, of Woodstock, both 17, suffered severe head trauma.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner said the two teenagers each died from a single gunshot wound of the head.

The house is located on Gilhams Road, off Mabry Road in Roswell. Both of the teenagers were about to start their a year ago as high school seniors. Administrations at both schools have set up grief counselors for the student bodies.

Both Natalie and Carter were to begin their senior years of high school, school leaders said. It wasn’t clear if he was immediately charged, but police had previously released a flyer saying Fair was wanted in connection to a triple murder.

According to the city government of Roswell, Hazelwood was arrested after police followed clues and evidences obtained from CCTV footages and witness testimonies in the area. While investigators are unsure of the motive, they believe Hazelwood acted alone, the chief said.

Davis attended River Ridge High School in Cherokee County and played lacrosse.

No suspects have been named, but police reportedly executed a search warrant at a Roswell home Wednesday morning.

Two family members were seen leaving a police vehicle and entering the home very distraught.

The search at Jeffrey Hazelwood’s home came as a result of information received during the double murder investigation.

A police report indicates Henderson was Davis’ ex-girlfriend, according to the Roswell Patch. Any people in the area, especially between 2 to 3 a.m., who may have seen anything are asked to contact police.
