Actually, the drunk man, Paul Harbord, 27, was enjoying an all-day drinking session with a large group. Suddenly he saw a lady entering into the club in Old Shotton, County Durham. He said after seeing the officer “look, here is one of the strippers” and he flicked a bar towel on the officers face.
Later, before Peterlee magistrates court he explained that he mistook the lady officer as stripper that’s why he shouted those words.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge. He was also ordered to pay £85 and a £15 victim surcharge.
