Police expected Danclair will also be charged later on Friday for the murder of Chrissy Bevelaqua, 35, who was found naked and dead inside the Bushwick Hotel in Brooklyn on July 23, Chief of Manhattan Detectives William Aubry said.

The second woman was found several weeks later.

Marin was found dead in the hotel room September 8. According to authorities, both women appeared have been strangled, although the manner of death is still pending by the medical examiner.

The cause of death for each woman is still under investigation, police said.

“These women were good women, there’s no prostitution involved”, Aubry said.

No charges have been filed against the suspect, Joseph Danclair, but police said they expect to charge him soon, CBS2 reported.

Officers say Danclair’s fingerprints were pulled from one of the crime scenes.

“We knew he was going to be in the area”, a police source said of the arrest.

Aubry said he met them in similar ways as Marin and Bevelaqua and that the women “very lucky to be alive”. Law enforcement sources say he is believed to be connected to two rapes not involving the two women who were found dead. He has not been charged in either rape. He was in custody Friday but not arrested. Although, in Marin’s case, police said Danclair was captured on surveillance video checking in with her and leaving the hotel alone.
