Man Arrested for Reportedly Vandalizing His Own Truck with #BlackLivesMatter
A Central Texas man who claimed anti-police vandals had attacked the family pickup truck has been arrested after police believe he vandalized the truck.

Also, painted on the back of Lattin’s truck was the saying, “Police lives matter”, written in commemoration of fallen Deputy Darren Goforth who was gunned down in Houston last month.
Whitney Police Chief Chris Bentley told Fox 4 News that it was actually their reporting on the story that made them focus the investigation on Lattin himself.
Bentley said his officers saw no damage on the inside of Lattin’s truck, but FOX4 cameras showed footage of ripped seats and a broken glove box.
Lattin later told told KDFW-TV the allegations are “absolutely not true”. While the suspect denied the accusation during a brief on-camera interview, his arrest warrant stated that he admitted to damaging the truck for “insurance reasons”.
The inside of Lattin’s truck was ruined and the outside was tagged with “Black Lives Matter“, other graffiti and the hashtag “FYF”. according to Fox 4. Whitney police said additional charges are pending.
But on Friday afternoon, Whitney police arrested Lattin on a misdemeanor charge of making a false police report.

Lattin’s neighbor Levonda Bradshaw was suspicious from the very beginning, because they have a fenced in property with dogs that bark at everyone that comes near there. Sharing this last bit of information might have led to Lattin’s downfall, however, because police hadn’t seen any of the aforementioned damage when Lattin initially filed the police report. “This is just wrong”. But following his dad’s arrest, the station said neither he or his mother wanted to talk.
