Tickets sold out to see the Fayetteville native’s performance with Big Sean, Jeremih, and YG at PNC Bank Arts Center (Aug, 3).
On Thursday, authorities announced they had arrested local resident Quran Powell in connection to the crime.
State Police told NJ.com that unrelated to the shooting, more than 100 people were arrested at the concert, including 67 who were charged with underage alcohol consumption, 23 for drug possession and one for lewdness. “Everyone in the parking lot started running”.
State troopers used K-9 units and a helicopter to scour woods near the amphitheater, and a $5,000 reward was being offered for information leading to the shooter’s arrest. He was arrested at an apartment there.
Witnesses said the gunfire began after an argument broke out in the parking lot. It wasn’t immediately known if Powell knew the victims or the woman.
State and county police searched Powell’s home Wednesday.
