Holtzman said some news outlets have quoted neighbors as saying that they had witnessed a physical fight days ago between Howard and Toone, but that no calls were made to police about it.

Toone was arersted late Tuesday near Richmond, Virginia.

Police spokesperson Kristin Hunter says the four victims were found on the 1100 block of Grovemont, which is off Stantonsburg Road near where it turns into Highway 264.

Officers had also knocked on the door of the home Monday afternoon after Howard’s co-workers called to say she hadn’t come to work, but authorities had no reason to force entry then, Holtzman said. Officers tried to check on Howard’s welfare but were not able to do so.

Greenville police detectives traveled to Richmond, conducted an interview with Toone after he was arrested and believe he acted alone. The names and cause of death weren’t released.

Dibon Toone is wanted for the murder of four people in Greenville, North Carolina.

Throughout the night, Greenville police investigated the scene and believe this is a homicide. Detectives are working to obtain the charges for the deaths of the three other children.
